Jose had been granted temporary custody of the couples two small daughters prior to the dissolution of marriage hearing, and at that hearing the temporary custody was continued with Jose. After two additional custody hearings the trial court found that it was in the best interest of the children that permanent custody be granted to Virginia and a permanent order to that effect was entered.
